Solid Brass "?" Magnifying Glass

Solid magnifying glass in the shape of a question mark. I want to say this is solid brass, but the color is quite dark. Lovely patina. Made in Italy, date unknown but likely second half of 20th C. Glass has a tiny bit of fogging directly in center. Back unscrews so it could be replaced theoretically. Heavy in the hand, shows very nicely laid flat.
